Heidi was our star.

Top winning Elkhound of all time in the UK, she won 44 CCs. Her record still stands.

Campaigned by my father Fred Pickup, Heidi was the perfect showgirl.

She came to life in the ring and made her presence heard on TVs Animal Roadshow. She was gentle and kind to everyone and extremely loving. She was bred only once to our Ch Llychlyn Callan (Cass)  producing 2 Champions and a CC winner. She was a perfect mum. Her daughter, Penny, Ch Vanya of Norderhove, stayed with us

It's hard to know where to start. 

Bred by Marion Foster, Cass came to us when young, after his owner's wife had died. With 2 bitches in the house, it took a lot of persuading to take him but boy, were we glad we did.

Stubborn as a mule but so loyal and loving. He was a terrific stud dog siring many Champions (see below) and was top Stud Dog of the year many times. He adored the show ring and continued winning in veteran classes until he was 15.  His son, Am Ch Llychlyn Idris was exported to Marlene Oliver's Peer Gynt Kennels in the USA  where he continued to pass on  the beautiful strong head.

           Cass's nature was so placid that my young son learned to stand and walk by hanging on to Cass's back.
